Open Question: how except a program from proxy setting?

i have lan internet.provider is my university.if i want to connect i must enable my proxy setting(IP:192.168.0.80,PORT:8080)that server gave me.and when i enable it i can't sign in with messengers and can't play online(e.g:world of war craft,counter strike).how i can remove my proxy or round it for these applications?i'm completely mix out. please help me.thanks

Open Question: My browsers & Applications won't connect to internet?

The only application that is able to access the internet on my computer is Internet Explorer. Suddenly, for no apparent reason every the other browsers are giving connection to server errors when I try to use them (typically its mistake 102 with Google Chrome) now today AVG antivirus could not connect to the internet to do the daily updates! The only application unaffected is IE7. Please help I know what a browser is but am frustrated by the fact that the only browser that can access the internet is IE...Opera, Safari, Chrome and FF every say they cannot access the internet. Applications like Adobe updater and AVG updater also say thay cannot connect but how can that be when IE is not affected? I used Windows Defender and found one High Risk item (some sort of tracker), removed it but no improvement. I also reset the Wi-fi connection - nothing! I know what a browser is but am frustrated by the fact that the only browser that can access the internet is IE...Opera, Safari, Chrome and FF every say they cannot access the internet. My internet works for about 5 minutes then I keep getting message that says server not found. every of my stuff says that its working but its not. I tried to do the command where you use ipconfig/release and etc but none of them worked. I also have norton but it says there are no viruses. What should I do?

Open Question: I need help with Google Chrome, please?

So.. I was browsing on Tumblr/Facebook/the internet in general and then I realized that my webcam on Skype had stopped working. Everything was fine but I wanted it to work. So I restarted my laptop and when I launched Google Chrome again it came up with a reddish page with a warning symbol that says/said, "The site's security certificate is not trusted! You attempted to reach www1.virginmobileusa.com, but the server presented a certificate issued by an entity that is not trusted by your computer's operating system. This may mean that the server has generated its possess security credentials, which Google Chrome cannot rely on for identity information, or an attacker may be trying to intercept your communications. You should not proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site." What should I do? I: Please help? I'm incredibly technologically challenged when it comes to things like this. (And if you're wondering I'm using my desktop, not my laptop that's experiencing the troubles.)

Open Question: Why isn't my computer working properly?

I tried to connect to another wireless connection and it connects me but it says no internet access and no network access. Then I tried troubleshooting and it says that the problem(s) that is found is "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding". I really need help because it hasn't connected to any internet connection for a month now. Also its a Windows 7 Gateway Notebook and the connection isn't a router that I have access to. So its nice of like a public connection. I went to my aunt's home and it didn't connect to her internet either. I already reseted the adapter/router in my computer and it still didn't work. Please Help I can't go on the internet on my computer.... so I can't download anything!

Open Question: Someone help with my Sony VAIO?

Recently I haven't been able to open anything involving media (youtube, realplayer, etc.) because it says I don't have adobe installed, but when I try to install it, it says it's unable to. The webcam won't turn on and says it can't connect to the camera. I am unable to open any internet server except for Mozilla Firefox. I am almost completely sure I've somehow got a virus on this computer but it also doesn't allow me to open any anti-virus software except for Windows Defender and won't read any discs I put into it Does anyone know how to find it and receive rid of it? Or should I just buy a new laptop entirely?

Open Question: anyone else love linux?

I'm a recent convert to linux, and wow, it is such a good experience. I always knew it was out there but never gave it a try for who knows what reason. It finally took a computer accident in windows to receive me to toss in the towel and give it a try, and I can't believe I didn't know how good it was before, and the unhappy thing is I bet almost 70% of people don't even know what linux is, what it stands for and how useful it is. I mean most of the big servers powering the internet are run off of linux. If you use linux, please let everyone know how great it really is, and tell me what you like best about it.

Open Question: Why did my minecraft suddenly start to lag when i'm on a server?

I have the cracked version right so before I used to play minecraft a lot on servers and there was no lag when I mean lag I mean the delay not the fps like when I type a message and send it it doesn't appeare until like 10 seconds after but now after like a few days its starts lagging everytime i'm on a server... My internet is always the same speed on the internet browser and stuff so whats going on? What should I do?

Open Question: What type a Wireless Security does a Toshiba and eMachines Laptop Accept?

I have a Toshiba laptop (just bought). We have a wireless connection in our home. The main computer, the desktop, works perfectly. I can access any website I want to (within the restrictions of our internet filter) on my desktop but when I go onto my Toshiba laptop and try to access websites that have secure content it doesn't load. I receive an mistake message saying "cannot connect to page". Or in Firefox "server was reset while attempting to connect". This problem is really bugging me. Me have an SMC router/modem (whatever they are called) and WEP security. I am not exactly sure what type of security is supported by Toshiba laptops. I also have another laptop, an eMachines, it does the same @#!*% thing. It open every website except for secure content websites. For both computers now:I have flushed the DNS, run virus scans, cleared browsing history, cleared temporary files, run CCleaner, run a registry booster, SpeedUpMyPC, and steer scanner. Nothing shows up. Nothing helps. Please help me I can't do my job properly if this problem does not receive fixed!!

Open Question: Why are upload speeds so crappy in Iowa?

It seems like everywhere else in the world has good upload speeds except Iowa.. I live in Cedar Rapids, IA and I have been with Century Link for a few years now.. and have also been with Media com quite a while ago.. My sister also has Mediacom recently., and their upload speeds still suck major....even for higher packages.. I have not tried IMON yet because I have heard bad things about their service.. I might think about satellite internet.. I thin I saw that someone is offering that.. The reason I would want higher upload speeds would be so uploading videos to YouTube isn't such a chore.. also so I can host a game server that can hold more than 3 people.. >.> Upload speeds in Iowa barely hit 1mbps. I have seen other places hit very well over that mark..

Open Question: Cannot connect to game/Ventrilo servers?

I usually play Counter-Strike, Team Fortress 2, use Ventrilo, etc. Now that i got a new ISP and faster Internet speed, my router has changed. I have a lot of trouble to connect to these game/ventrilo servers. For the game servers, it says: ''Failed to contact game server''. When i try to do it manually (console) or join a pal it says the server isn't responding. I have to repeatedly try to connect until it does. For ventrilo servers, when i press connect the message remains as: MSG: Contacting server. But i have to wait few minutes until it connects. My firewall is off, as well as antiviruses and other stuff that can provoke this. I think i could be able to fix this in the router's control panel, but i just don't know about this and i might change something wrong.

Open Question: DNS Server isnt responding?

Im currently deployed, we have internet in our rooms, when I connect straight from the wall, it tells me unidentified network. When I connect through my router (which worked for about a day) now tells me DNS server isn't responding. I've tried a few trouble shooting techniques and nothing has worked. I have Windows 7 Home Premium. Im using a Rosewill RNX-GX4 router. I cannot put my ipconfig/every on here as Im not working from the same place, but I can assure you I checked to make sure DHCP is enabled. Please help!!

Open Question: Non-detectable Proxy Server/Site?

does anyone know of a nondetectable proxy server/site? my school blocks absolutely everything, and has managed to block almost every proxy site i can find on the internet. what can i do? Ed Fox - i dont believe that was my question. If you have a problem with my question than by every mean continue to simply live the relax of your life as normal and don't answer. im not interested in anything that does not provide a legitimate answer to my question. Thank you. Also, are there any downloadable programs that allow you to bypass a school's web blocks or something like that? Also, the word "proxy" cannot be in the site url cuz my school has a block for anysite with that in the name or url. Also, ".info" will not work either, school has blocked those too. thanks for the help guys.

I already tried every my computers, it's not my internet connection since every other websites are working fine. Whenever I type in Facebook.com it says: The connection has timed out "The server at www.facebook.com is taking too long to respond. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web." Is this just me or is this happening to anyone else? my Internet is working just fine but i cannot receive on to Facebook not with Firefox or internet explorer .I'm trying to receive on from my office computer how can i tell if it is they who blocked me or if it is something wrong with my Facebook account when i try to access through internet explorer its telling me that the DNS server is not working ...it was not completely blocked at first I was still getting on, but Facebook was not looking normal i can't describe it ,but i know something was wrong.

Open Question: Problems with xbox live and brighthouse?

My pal recently moved, and now has brighthouse high speed. Every game cannot find a server they say. His gold is active and every the pages load fine. Netflix works, which is gold only. every other internet devices work fine, even tried difficult wiring with ethernet. Took my xbox there and got the same problem. Tried about six games, every different publishers. He called xbox, they referred him to xbox.com and he couldn't receive a fix. Xbox says its brighthouse, brighthouse says its xbox. He has every but given up on xbox and I can't let that happen!

My internet wont let me watch movies or tv shows online anymore, i used to have no problem but very recently when i go onto sites such as letmewatchthis or projectfreetv and I click a link to watch an episode it comes up saying '' an mistake has occured'' or more frequently '' This content server has been temporarily disabled for upgrades'' ( i have no idea what that means ). I either need to build, or buy, a cheap, reliable S1 NTP Server; based on GPS or some other highly accurate and widely available technology. Preferably something bought rather than somehing cobbled together and easily broken; almost everything i have found on the internet has involved a soldering iron or many thousands of dollars.

Open Question: IDM download stops at 99.99%?

I have IDM which was downloaded from CNET. I've used it several times without issue. Today I tried to download a video from from mediafire servers with a file of 284.380 MB. The file seemed to be downloading fine right up until it reached 99.99% (284.368 MB downloaded) at that point it just stopped. It still says recieving data but the transfer rate is 0 KB/sec. and the time remaining is 3 seconds. Is there a maximum amount this version will download? my internet connection is quick, about 1 Mbps. Is there anyway I can complete this download

Open Question: iPhone 4s question please help?

I just recently got an iPhone 4s. Before I had an HTC Evo 4g...With my HTC I could browse the web and go onto Facebook and Twitter with no problem, meaning I didn't have to connect to a wifi server to do any of these. Now with the iPhone 4s, if I leave my home I can't receive onto the internet b/c I'm not connected too any wifi server. So is there a way to browse the internet without wifi on my iPhone? My carrier is Sprint if that matters.

Open Question: Would adding a second network interface to a server increase performance?

If I were to add a second Ethernet card to a PC, would network performance increase? My logic behind doing this is that I would make one connection only for local communication and the other strictly for internet. I have a PC that I use as a storage server as well as a Minecraft server, and being able to separate local transfers from people playing Minecraft would increase performance on both ends... Right?

Well i got my self in a little pickle here and i tried everything and im just not sure whats wrong here. The page to edit you avatar isn't loading right The preview of your avatar docent load and when i click on appearance tab it will show the photos for a second and then they will arrive up ads a wrong link i guess you call it where it has the tiny pic of a paper in half. the other tabs work fine but are useless because well i cant look the avatar preview. Now Ive updated both of my browsers Firefox and internet explorer, updated flash, made sure yahoo was allowed for pop ups, Ive sleepy this on two different computers with two different internet sources and one was xp the other was 7. I feel as there is a problem on the server side with yahoo. do yall have any problem with editing you avatar? ive sleepy this 2 days in a roll now. My current avatar is over a year old and i really want to change it. Any advice will be help full Thanks

Open Question: Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x0800CCC0F Could not download messages from IMAP Server?

Explain your issue in full detail here: I have been using Windows Live Mail to check my 3x Gmail, 1x Hotmail & 2x Personal Domains for over a year now 2 days ago my main GMAIL account stopped receiving emails. The is the mistake message: Unable to send or receive messages for the Gmail (me) account. Header download for the 'every Mail' folder did not complete. Could not download new messages from the IMAP server. Server Response: The server did not respond to this IMAP command before the connection was terminated. Server: 'imap.gmail.com' Windows Live Mail mistake ID: 0x800CCC0F Protocol: IMAP Port: 993 Secure(SSL): Yes As you will look it stopped at the 'every Mail' folder, however yesterday it was stopping at the 'Inbox' folder which is at the top of the Folder tree. At the moment because it is further down the sync tree is manages to check other folders. I can log into my Gmail account online ok, IMAP and POP are both turned on. For problem solving I have downloaded and installed Thunderbird and setup the same IMAP account and it has no issues. I then went to my Windows 7 32bit laptop with Windows Live Mail 2011 and it also was unable to check mail for this account coming up with the same mistake. I then went to an XP machine which has Windows Live Mail for XP and it has the same problem. I had Comodo Firewall running on my computer and laptop I uninstalled it and restarted the computer and still same issue. I disabled Windows Firewall and restarted and still same issue. I have heard some people saying 'uncheck' the Synchronize Settings for the folders which has fixed the issue, I don't know why this would be considered a solution isn't that the whole idea of IMAP 'that is synchronizes' anyway my other gmail address work ok with this setting turned on so obviously it is not he problem. As for my IMAP settings they are EXACTLY the same as my other accounts. My thoughts are that the Gmail server is faulty, but it puzzles me why Thunderbird works and it is only Windows Live Mail for 1 account on any computer that fails. The only central point are router, ISP and Gmail servers, if it was the router why would it let Thunderbird and the other Gmail accounts work in WLM. On the first day of the problem I thought maybe Gmail had some account issue problems, but it has now been over 48 hours surely any account problems on Googles end would be rectified within a couple hours of the issue occurring. Resolved Question: I have 6 old computers and I have no idea what to do with them?

I know a little bit about computers, not a lot but enough to do some chilly things with the help of the internet. I want to install Linux and maybe take one apart. I know i could set up a server or a network on them, but I don't really know what I should do. Does anyone have any chilly ideas? They are about 6 years old, but in pretty good shape. i got this new laptop an alienware m14x and i have windows seven on it and i use google chrome. I recently got a new router (tp-link tl-wr740n) but when I connect wirelessly I receive the "DNS server not responding" message when I run diagnostics on my computer. It does connect to the internet but a little yellow sign is on top of my connection icon on the computer and when I put the cursor over it, it says 'no internet access'. How do I fix this?

I downloaded some torrents (football games) onto my desktop, I watched them, and have deleted them. But ever since I did that, whenever I keep anything onto my desktop from now on, it disables my internet. It could be anything. I tried saving a google image onto my desktop and it gave me problems immediately. It says "server mistake". Whenever I remove the items from my desktop the internet works again. Thoughts?

I currently have a WIndows 2003 server with 2 network cards, one card is connected to my router and gets the internet, the other goes into a switch where other computers connect. i would like to have it so i have a dhcp server on the windows server to give the computers on the switch a ip address but it doesnt seem to want to work. i have set up the dhcp server, also i have a domain controller installed with a dns but i still cant receive the computer on the switch to receive a ip address from the server Please help!!!

Resolved Question: Why wont my computer let me access www.rs2006.net?

On Google Chrome i receive Oops! Google Chrome could not find www.rs2006.net And on Firefox i receive Server not found. When i was able to access the website just fine on a app called CloudBrowse which uses a remote computers firefox to gain access to the internet for Java applications on my ipod. Please help i know its not down since i was just on it but i want to be able to log on on my main computer

Open Question: Time Warner internet keeps dropping?

So long story short, after replacing both our routers and the modem, the internet has periodic drops that are becoming increasingly annoying. (It's been going on for about two and a half months now). We have about 3 desktops and 3 laptops hooked to it, along with various things (e.g. phones, iPads). Time Warner has arrive and "tested" our lines and said they are fine. Not too sure what's going on but I keep getting this mistake: "DNS server is not responding" Any ideas, I don't really want to switch the DNS server. (It doesn't look like any other DNS servers are as quick as the ones provided by default from them say Google Public DNS servers.)

I have an ethernet cable that has been giving me internet for this past week. Today when I got home only some websites were opening. every the others said "This webpage is not available" I found that there is a problem on my Local Area Network and that there is no network access. Open Question: Has anyone found a resolution for the Microsoft XBOX live and Verizon FIOS know outage in the California area?

I talked to both support teams at Verizon and Microsoft. Microsoft was a little more helpful explaining that it was a Verizon IP mistake which moved people through a public server and suggested refreshing some IP address but I got disconnected from the call after an hour of explaining myself and the mistake. I hate to be the middle man between two big companies but they are blaming each other and there are ever more dependancies between the two. I would not have a high speed internet line without the XBOX live online game options, Netflix, Zune music, and Verison channel services available every for which I pay a monthly fee. An likewise I would not have so may xbox live services and xbox products without an Internet Service Provider. The companies keep blaming each other for the outage and nobody will take financial responsibility to credit customers for the outage days where the service can not be used. I wasted countless hours on the calls and on the online self help sites trying every possible option when this was a know issue by both companies and no official communication for transparency to the customers was made. I know I'm not alone in my frustration with the ever evolving integration between these services and the dependency on them. Looking a publish solution because the companies are not being helpful. Appreciate any suggestions.

I searched for information about installing Astro File Manager and anywhere it will say to use the Android Market. I have Android Market app. on my Xperia Ray but when I try to use it I will be asked to sign in with my Google account. Hey, i wanted to know if i would have to port forward my Minecraft server if i am directly connected to my router. and also if i had two routers and one was connected before the other one(as my cable runs down the side of my home and comes in to the wall, but my room is closer than my office.) if i had my office router hooked up and then another router hooked up closer to the dish what would eb the performance of each router? btw we have like 10 devices connected at the most to the internet. would it speed up my internet if i only had my computers connected and not my idevices adn ps3/wii? thanks for every the help!

You will guide a team of eight administrators and network engineers consisting of three WATCH administrators and five other contractor network engineers who specialize in network migration and setup. Deliverable Assignment Part 1 Research how to connect and integrate and upgrade the WATCH IT infrastructure to work with SHG. Explain how to integrate the existing networking standards, protocols, and access methods. Select the most appropriate protocols and access standard to use without any loss of existing functionality to the existing network components. Explain the additional hardware both the LAN and the WAN will require in order to implement the proposed migration. Other functionalities will be migrated later, but for now your team needs only the migration plans for the administrative and bookkeeping functions. Part 2 Research and recommend a method to connect SHG and WATCH using a WAN Technology. Consolidate the research in a single WORD document as the project deliverable.

Open Question: Problems with my desktop?

I downloaded some torrents (football games) onto my desktop, I watched them, and have deleted them. But ever since I did that, whenever I keep anything onto my desktop from now on, it disables my internet. It could be anything. I tried saving a google image onto my desktop and it gave me problems immediately. It says "server mistake". Whenever I remove the items from my desktop the internet works again. Thoughts?

Open Question: printer keep going offline?

i now using broadband router (Aztech 3G Networking HW553) as the printer server. my problem is that my printer keep on going offline and not internet access. but when i direct connect the broadband router to a pc, there got internet access again. my network cable is from the broadband router to switch and to pc plus printer. any idea what going on???

Open Question: How come it lags in minecraft servers?

I have the cracked version right so before I used to play minecraft a lot on servers and there was no lag when I mean lag I mean the delay not the fps like when I type a message and send it it doesn't appeare until like 10 seconds after but now after like a few days its starts lagging everytime i'm on a server... My internet is always the same speed on the internet browser and stuff so whats going on? What should I do?

Open Question: A Minecraft server is working for my two friends but not me?

I've been on this server before, just earlier today. It crashed and when I tried to receive back on, it said it couldn't reach the server. I tried to connect to it anyway, but it says it timed out: connect. My two friends said that they can receive on the server just fine. I haven't been banned, so what is going on? I've moved twice around my home twice to look if it was an issue with the internet, but it wasn't. Please help.

Open Question: Proxy Server is refusing to connect to internet (Firefox browser)?

I went in and did the basics, when to the tools section, options, advanced, settings and turned on car detect. That fixed the problem, however, once you click out of the browser, it goes back to it's previous settings and shows the same mistake message. How can I fix this?

Open Question: Hosting service Copyright Infringement?

Hey! I just wrote a .net service/applications for music, with music player included, an car-finder for your music genre based on the music beats and artists/names that uses an internet connection to connect to my servers. The problem is that hosting copyrighted material and sharing it is illegal, but what if i also write an algorythm for encryption/compression on my server, so no proof that the material is copyrighted, and then the application decompresses it and unencrypt it? I use AES encryption and lossless zip-like algorythm. Could that cause problems? I mean. it's not the original files that I host, but completely different files.

Open Question: My Bukkit server (minecraft) won't let people connect y?

So I went out for lunch and left my bukkit server (minecraft) running, it had being running for numerous days now. I got back home and logged onto minecraft to play with friends. Then my server froze, crashed and now people can't connect to it. It's no the server its self because I tried a vanilla server on an other computer same problem. When you try and log on it says "connection refused". I think it's my internet or porting. I use port map and I'm on a mac. I didin't understand how it does this when it was working for over a week before. Please receive back to me ASAP my friends are getting pushy. Thanks, tell me if you need a screen shot or anything.

Open Question: I just downloaded sims 3, but there is an error. How can I fix it?

I just bought and downloaded sims 3 off of amazon. After I installed it, I tried launching it, but every time I keep getting "There is a problem connecting to the server. Please ensure your internet connection is active. If the problem persists try again later." I don't have Mcafee on my computer so I know that isn't the problem. I've tried disabling the firewalls, but every I found was windows firewall and that didn't work. I have avast as my antivirus and I could only disable the shields and that didn't work either when I tried to launch sims 3. I also tried them together.
